Supporting the efforts of local partners
We are a Luxembourgish non-profit organization committed to the empowerment of communities through education. All our projects are co-financed by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA). We partner up with local development organizations, as we believe this is the best way to ensure the sustainability of projects and to guarantee that they meet the needs of local populations.
Local communities empowered for positive social change
Since 1991, the MFEA supports our vision: assisting our partners in their efforts to build capacity among their communities to take charge of their own material, social, intellectual and moral development. Following our first framework agreement with the Ministry between 2018 and 2021, in 2022 we begin a new framework agreement for a period of 5 years. This agreement allows us to continue our efforts under a single development program. In addition, the generous support of the Ministry allows us to move forward with the important task of awareness-raising and development education in Luxembourg. Your support, in addition to that of the Ministry, allows us to make our vision a reality: empowering local communities for positive social change.
Current projects
Since its inception, Unity Foundation has been working in partnership with local organizations that have entrusted us with the financial support of their projects. Under our new framework agreement, the MFEA has granted the sum of €3,232,000.00 (approximately 78% of the total budget of our projects) to our six partners for the period 2022-2026 as they pursue different lines of action: the Preparation for Social Action (PSA) program, Community Schools, and Training Centers. Since 2016, the MAEE has also been supporting the awareness-raising projects carried out by Unity Foundation in Luxembourg. Discover how these efforts are flourishing around the world.
