In June 2017, Unity Foundation continued its school tour around the country, organizing workshops around the movie “Mercy’s Blessing”. We visited both the International School of Luxembourg as well as the “Ecole de Commerce et de Gestion”(ECG) in Luxembourg-City to work with grade 10 students.

The students were very interested in the subject at hand, namely education, and seemed happy to have a space in which they can reflect about and discuss this subject in a more broad sense. After watching the movie “Mercy’s Blessing”, the sessions continued with lively discussions about the different themes covered in the movie, such as the hard choices that the characters have to make in the movie, and whether there is necessarily only one right solution for the issues they are facing. We then moved on to talk about education in their own environment, what it means for them and for their future and how they could possibly get involved in social projects in Luxembourg.

We had a great time working with the students from these two fantastic schools and we would like to thank the ISL and ECG, the teachers who helped organize the workshop and especially all of the students!
