Since 2023, 706 youths from 12 institutions have run and raised €21,642 to support our education projects!

For the fourth consecutive year, Unity Foundation will be at the ING Night Marathon as part of UNITY RUN 42 – a discipline specially designed for secondary schools in partnership with the organiser of the Grand Duchy’s biggest sporting event. The concept of this school relay race is simple: 42 students from each participating school will each undertake to run at least 1 km. This initiative, which is part of our mission to build the capacity of young people, offers a number of benefits: the promotion of physical exercise, the identification with the values of one’s school and the strengthening of team spirit, all combined with a commitment to solidarity for a good cause!

Once again this year, in addition to high school students, we are delighted to welcome a team from the MOTOr (MOving TOgetheR) network made up of patients from Rehazenter Luxembourg, CHL KannerKlinik, and Hôpitaux Robert Schuman!

The sponsorship donations from each runner will be directed entirely to our education programs in Malawi, as the ING Night Marathon organiser provides its services free of charge.

If you would like to sponsor a student or a team, please make your donation indicating the name of the student and their school. Your involvement will not only contribute to the success of this sporting event but will also support the education of children in Malawi!

Donation certificates for your taxes:

• Paypal: donors making donations via PayPal will receive a digital certificate for their tax declaration
• Payconic and bank transfer: please email us at info@unityfoundation.lu as these transactions do not show an email address to which a certificate can be sent.

Every monthly donation of €50 supports the training and accompaniment of 30 community school teachers each year in Malawi. In 2024, thanks to supporters like you, 277 teachers reached 8,165 children across Malawi!

Your tasks are simple but essential to ensure the safety of the runners and the smooth progress of the run:

1. Join the WhatsApp volunteers group
2. Be ready at your KM post 30 min before the start time
3. Notify the WhatsApp group
   • when all the runners are present
   • as soon as a runner departs
   • as soon as all the runners have departed (at this point you can leave the post)
4. Take pictures and videos of the runners and share them in the WhatsApp group
