Partner of Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs

Since 2009, Luxembourg has been part of the group of countries being most active in the field of Official Development Assistance, attributing 1% of its gross national income (GNI) to this end.

As described in the OECD’s review of Luxembourg’s development policies and programmes“Luxembourg is the Development Assistance Committee’ s third most generous donor as a portion of its economy and it has a high-quality programmesays Brian Atwood, former Chair of the Development Aid Committee (DAC).

Luxembourg’s official development assistance is channeled through various means, one being cooperation with Luxembourgish development NGOs such as Unity Foundation.

Thanks to our agreement with Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Directorate for Development Cooperation, depending on the country of support, the amount of co-financing reaches from 60% to 80%.

Your donations can be tax deductible

Unity Foundation is an organization accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and can therefore receive tax-deductible donations within the limits of the income tax law, i.e. from a total annual amount of contributions equal to or greater than €120.00 as long as the donations do not exceed 20% of the total taxable income or €1,000,000.00.

We work together with Statera Audit, which carries out an annual audit. Our accounts are published at the “Registre de Commerce”.
