Legacies and donations: making a gesture for the future

Because there is no greater symbol than being entrusted with a legacy, we make sure to give each sum entrusted to us the importance it deserves. Leaving a legacy to Unity Foundation puts your possessions in the right hands to serve a cause that transcends borders and has a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of people around the world. As a charitable organization, Unity Foundation is eligible to receive bequests or donations with limited estate taxes. If you need more information, please contact us or a notary.

Bequests

A will is a document that states your final wishes and allows you to define what you wish to leave, to whom and under what conditions. A bequest is the transmission by will of all or part of your property or of a sum of money. There are three different forms of bequest:

  • The universal legacy: you transmit all of your property to a person or humanitarian organization.
  • The legacy by universal title: you pass on a share or a percentage of your assets, thus allowing several legatees to receive a defined share of your assets.
  • The particular legacy: you transmit to one or several persons identified goods (sum of money, securities, valuable objects, real estate…).

You can choose to include our foundation as a co-heir of your estate or to leave all your assets to Unity Foundation. Including Unity Foundation in your will is a priceless gesture that gives many people a great chance for a better future.

Donations

A donation allows you to take immediate action by transferring ownership of an asset during your lifetime. To be valid, a donation must be made by a notarial act. This form of donation allows you to support us immediately.

Life insurance

You can also designate Unity Foundation as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy by including the name and contact information of our organization in the beneficiary clause.
