Towards the end of October 2018, the government of Malawi held an event to commemorate the importance of giving children in their community the opportunity to attend school. In reality, less than 45% of children living in rural areas have access to education.
Bambino Foundation, in its role as a development partner, was invited by the Ministry of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Wellness of Malawi to a ceremony to launch the second phase of Early Childhood Development (ECD) policy. During this occasion, Bambino Foundation was awarded for Best Practices in Advocacy for early childhood education.
We are extremely proud of our partner and pleased that the government of Malawi recognizes Bambino Foundation’s efforts in promoting the importance of education. We have no doubt that this official recognition will further strengthen the collaboration between our partner and the government of Malawi, as they strive to provide quality education for all children in the country.
