In July of this year, Jean-Marie-Nau published his book “Words of wisdom”, a collection of stories from all over the world, and decided to make a donation of €2 to the Unity Foundation for each book sold. To date, he has sold 250 books and raised 500€ in our favour!
Here is an excerpt from his book that helps us reflect on the importance of developing our human qualities and promoting universal access to quality moral and intellectual education:
An old Cherokee Indian teaches life to his grandson. “A fight takes place within me,” he tells the boy. “A terrible fight between two wolves. One of them is bad: he is anger, envy, sadness, regret, avidity, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, vanity, superiority and ego. The other one is good: he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, magnanimity, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same battle takes place within yourself and inside of everyone else. The grandson thinks for a minute and then asks his grandpa: “But then, which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee simply answers: “The one that you nourish.”
