The Orange Week was launched in 2008 by the United Nations Secretary-General to raise awareness about violence against women and girls and to end gender-based violence. On the occasion of the Orange week, some 50 people from various backgrounds and different ages took part in profound discussions on the shared responsibility of men and women to promote and defend women’s rights. Unity Foundation, in collaboration with the Union Luxembourgeoise des Femmes Baha’ies, organized two evenings rich in sharing and discussions. The first evening, organized on December 1, was dedicated to the screening of the film Mercy’s Blessing and a time of discussion between the participants and the director May Taherzadeh.
