As we begin 2023, we are pleased to share that Unity Foundation has signed its collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA) of Luxembourg, to support development education and awareness activities in Luxembourg for a period of one year.
The MFEA will co-finance the project entitled “Developing capacities at the heart of change” at a 75% rate, i.e. €66,768.19 granted out of a total budget of €89,024.25.
The vision of development at the heart of the project integrates universal values and participatory approach, shared by our international partners, despite the different socio-cultural contexts.
Considering youth from the age of 11 on and actors in the field of development and education as potential protagonists of social progress in Luxembourg, we encourage them to critically analyse the principles and current practices of development, to reflect on the purpose of their education and to develop their motivation and capacities to act as agents of social progress.
In addition to the workshops and educational materials that we offer to schools, universities, NGOs and associations, we train multipliers who lead the workshops themselves. We also share our learnings with the “general public” to raise awareness on the themes of our project. In 2023, we are also going to start experimenting the accompaniment of groups of youth in collaboration with local actors in smaller geographical areas such as Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg-Gare/Bonnevoie with the aim of enabling them to use their potential and develop their capacities to improve their local communities.
Unity Foundation warmly thanks the MFEA for its trust and renewed support!
