Since 2009, Unity Foundation has supported the Preparation for Social Action (PSA) program in Uganda, which assists young people to study and develop their capacities in science, technology, language, mathematics and community development. In addition to their high academic level, this program is distinguished by the fact that it empowers young people from rural communities to become “promoters of community well being”. Participants launch community development initiatives aimed at, among other things, increasing sustainable agricultural production, improving the health of ecosystems in their region, promoting pre-school education, promoting health campaigns (e.g. against malaria) or income-generating projects (e.g. chicken farming and sales).
