Dear friends,
In light of the global health crisis, all of us at Unity Foundation wish to send our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
Since the rapid development of this crisis, we have managed to get in touch with our partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America and we continue to closely monitor their situation. Fortunately, all have responded that they are currently well but have had to take precautionary measures. Some of our partner countries, or in some cases their neighboring countries, have already started to close their borders, which can cause instability and uncertainty in many cases (food and medical supply, etc.). Of course many voiced their concerns, that should the virus spread like it has in Europe, they will face an enormous challenge ahead. For this reason, even though we are all now facing hardships, we would like to ask you to keep the countries and individuals who are most vulnerable in your prayers and thoughts.
The current situation has undoubtedly impacted us all. In these moments of uncertainty, it is natural to feel concerned and perplexed. Yet, we may choose to take this as an opportunity to reflect on our lives and what we are grateful for. Likewise, this crisis which is affecting all corners of the world, and forcing us to physically distance ourselves may be the very thing that unites us – reminding us that somehow we are all interconnected and responsible for the welfare of others as much as our own.
On behalf of the team at Unity Foundation, we hope you stay safe and in good health. We would also like to share with you this uplifting quote:
“So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.”
